The Land Tax Division of the Dipolog City Treasurer's Office

"The Land Tax Division of the Dipolog City Treasurer's Office once again reminds all real property owners to pay their respective estate taxes early to avail of the ten percent (10%) discount given to those who pay their annual dues from January to March, this year," Mrs. Jean Naquila, Local Treasury Operation Officer IV (LTOO IV), disclosed in a recent interview.

Property-owners who fully pay their annual real estate taxes starting January 4, 2010 until March 31, 2010 will be the one to benefit the 10% discount offered by the Office of the Land Tax Division. However, tax payers who fail to pay during the period will incur a monthly penalty of two percent (2%).

However, Mrs. Naquila further clarified that an 8% penalty will directly be imposed to real property owners who will settle their obligations starting April; 10% on May; 12% on June; 14% on July; 16% on August; 18% on September; 20% on October; 22% on November; and 24% on December, all of this year.

Therefore, to avoid said monthly penalties, Mrs. Naquila urged the real property owners to settle their dues the soonest possible time. (CIO-ACA)

AIP & 20% DEVELOPMENT PLAN BUDGET ALLOCATION INCREASED

The City Development Council (CDC) during its meeting held last August 5, 2010, has earmarked an estimated ten percent (10%) budget increase in its annual investment plan (AIP), and twenty point seventy eight percent (20.78%) increase for the 20% Development Plan for the budget year 2011.
