Hon.Mayor Evelyn T. Uy receiving an award from the GRF, together with (from left to right) Apdal Saidon, Hon. Mayor Uy, Ms. Ma. Rosamund Parado, Mr. Datu Widz Raunda Sampang and Mr. Rene Villarente.

The BJP, which is one of the advocacies of the USAID, was launched in our country through the cooperation of the GRF and its existing alliance with other agencies such as, the Social Advocacy on Neoteric Governance for Sectors Agency (SANGSA), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Justice. Its primary aim and purpose is to minimize conflicts in the community, particularly at the barangay level, or to prevent such conflicts from escalating into more serious or violent situations through mediation and conciliation proceedings, thereby significantly decongesting the dockets of the barangay lupon.

The BJP launching became more meaningful by the signing of the Executive Order by Hon. Evelyn Uy, effectively accepting the BJP in the city and which appoints Legal Assistant Mr. Arvin L. Bonbon as the BJP Coordinator here in Dipolog, and the acceptance or confirmation of the BJP which is comprised of the Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCO) which is represented by Mr. Rene Villarente the Project Monitoring Specialist, the Local Resource Partner (LRP) represented by Datu Widz Raunda Sampang the Executive Director of SANGSA, Ms. Ma. Rosamund Parado the GRF Executive Director also attended the momentous occasion.

During the affair, Hon. Mayor Uy received yet another award for her unwaivering support and unrelenting effort for the lasting alliance of the City Government of Dipolog with the GRF and the USAID and for the successful launching of the BJP which will further improve our otherwise already solemn and peaceful community.
