As its title suggests, this ordinance not only aims to afford more protection to the youth against physical and mental abuse but also fortifies the children's rights to education and freedom from child labor.

    Said public hearing is spearheaded by the Committee on Women and Family Welfare under the chairmanship of City Councilor Marvelita N. Pinsoy.

    Among those invited to said public hearing are concerned institutions and individuals, the media sector and other stakeholders so that they may be given a chance to examine points embodied in the proposed ordinance, and give them an opportunity to scrutinize and propound questions regarding the legality and practicality of the said ordinance.

AIP & 20% DEVELOPMENT PLAN BUDGET ALLOCATION INCREASED

The City Development Council (CDC) during its meeting held last August 5, 2010, has earmarked an estimated ten percent (10%) budget increase in its annual investment plan (AIP), and twenty point seventy eight percent (20.78%) increase for the 20% Development Plan for the budget year 2011.
